"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave
you." (Eph. 4:32)
A young soldier was given an important commission and as result was invited to a formal officer's
dinner. When ice was passed, he obviously was confused and dropped the ice into his hot soup.
As others prepared to laugh, the commanding officer calmly did the same. This was kindness.
A Christian is to be considerate, thoughtful, not harsh, but easy to be entreated. He should be tenderhearted, easy going, and likable. James said, "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy." (James 3:17)
