Speaking the Truth in Love
Prophecies of the Messiah
The way the early Christians could determine whether Jesus was the Messiah or whether a preacher was from God, was by studying the Old Testament scriptures and seeing if the prophecies fit with what they were seeing and hearing (Acts 17:11). Paul, after he was converted, immediately preached, proving that Jesus was the Christ (Acts 9:20-22). Prophecies and their fulfillment still can prove to people that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world. We need to be like the Ethiopian Eunuch. When he was taught the fulfillment of prophecy, he immediately obeyed (Acts 8:30-40). The scriptures prove that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah. Now it is up to you and I to obey and follow Him (Revelations 14:4-5). How about you tonight? Why not submit your life to the Savior by repenting and being baptized for the remission of your sins? We hope to see you next time on "Speaking the Truth in Love".
