Speaking the Truth in Love
What Will You Do With Jesus?
Jesus is Creator (Hebrews 1:1-2, Colossians 1:16, John 1:1-5)
Jesus became a man (John 1:14, Philippians 2:5-8, Hebrews 2:9)
Jesus was sinless (Hebrews 4:15, 2 Corinthians 5:21) – this is in contrast to Mohammed who confessed his sins.
Jesus died for all people (Isaiah chapter 53, Hebrews 10:10, 1 Peter 2:21-25)
The body of Jesus saw no corruption (Acts 2:22-31, 13:29-37). This is very different from David, Mohammed, and any other religious leader in the history of mankind.
Jesus fulfilled all prophecy (Acts 13:39, Luke 18:31-33, 24:44)
Jesus was raised from the dead to the right hand of God (1 Peter 3:22, Mark 16:19, Colossians 3:1, Acts 2:32-33)
History tells us:
- The body Jesus was not found
- The gospel of Jesus has been proclaimed throughout the world (Matthew 24:14, Acts 1:7-8, Jude 3, Colossians 1:3-8)
- Our calendar years come from the life of Jesus
- Sunday is known by many as the Lord’s Day
- Many of our nations founding fathers based their hopes for the nation on the principles of the gospel of Jesus (READ QUOTES)
John Adams
“The general principles upon which the Fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity…I will avow that I believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and the attributes of God.” (June 28, 1813; Letter to Thomas Jefferson)
“We recognize no Sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus!”
(April 18, 1775, on the eve of the Revolutionary War after a British major ordered John Adams, John Hancock, and those with them to disperse in “the name of George the Sovereign King of England.")
Patrick Henry
“This is all the inheritance I can give my dear family. The religion of Christ can give them one which will make them rich indeed.” (The Last Will and Testament of Patrick Henry)
“It cannot be emphasized too clearly and too often that this nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason, peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here.” (May 1765 Speech to the House of Burgesses)
Thomas Jefferson
“ The doctrines of Jesus are simple, and tend to all the happiness of man.”
“Of all the systems of morality, ancient or modern which have come under my observation, none appears to me so pure as that of Jesus.”
“The Bible is worth all other books which have ever been printed.”
Noah Webster
“ The duties of men are summarily comprised in the Ten Commandments, consisting of two tables; one comprehending the duties which we owe immediately to God-the other, the duties we owe to our fellow men.”
“In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed...No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people.”

Jesus tells us of a heavenly kingdom > above all powers and principalities here on earth now (Colossians 1:13-18, Ephesians 1:20-23)
Jesus commands all now to submit to Him and obey Him (Acts 17:30-31, John 14:6, Matthew 28:18-20)
ALL THESE THINGS TELL US THERE NEVER HAS BEEN OR EVER WILL BE ANOTHER LIKE JESUS. HE CAME TO SAVE YOUR SOUL!
Now you have to make a decision. Will you reject Him or will you submit to Him? There are only these two choices. There are no other options. What Will You Do With Jesus? If you are not a Christian, you need to repent of your sins and be baptized for the remission of sins. If you are a Christian who has not been faithful, you need to repent of your sins and ask for forgiveness of those sins. It is our hope and prayer that you will submit to Him tonight.
No matter what is going on in this world, His kingdom will stand forever and be delivered up to live eternally (Daniel 2:44, 7:14, 27, 1 Corinthians 15:24-26). What Will You Do With Jesus? “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). We hope to see you next time on "Speaking The Truth In Love".
