GENESIS 9-11 – MC & DC Wade

•          Introduction of ourselves, our series, who we are, and thanks.

 

•          Review of Genesis 6-8 and the Flood

 

•          Read Genesis 9:1-17
  •    Commands (verses 1-7)
  •    Blessings to Noah, His sons, and all living creatures (verses 8-11)
  •    The Rainbow and what it is intended for (verses 12-17, Revelation 4:1-11)

 

•          Read Genesis 9:18-29
  •    Wine, drunkenness, shame
  •    Curse of Canaan, blessings of Shem and Japheth
  •    Life and Death of Noah (Ezekiel 14:14, 19-20)

 

•          Read Genesis 10:1-14 – Genealogy of Japheth

 

•          Read Genesis 10:15-20 – Genealogy of Canaan

 

•          Read Genesis 10:21-32 – Genealogy of Shem and summary in verse 32

 

•          Read Genesis 11:1-9 – The Tower of Babel
  •    The whole earth of one language or tongue
  •    Shinar, bricks, and mortar to build a tower whose top is in the heavens
  •    The Lord Jehovah investigates (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit)
  •    Language is confused
  •    All scattered them from there over the face of all the earth

 

•          Read Genesis 11:10-26 – More detailed genealogy of Shem to Abram

 

•          Read Genesis 11:27-32 – Descendants of Terah, Abram’s father (Matthew 1:1-16)

 

•          Close – Encourage all to become like Abraham (Galatians 3:26-29).
